Albert Coetzee

He was elected in 2026 to represent the citrus industry. Albert is a data-driven agricultural economist with extensive experience across South Africa's citrus and table grape value chains. He currently serves as Industry Affairs Manager at the Citrus Growers Association of Southern Africa (CGA), where he leads strategic initiatives focused on business intelligence and strategic analytics within the citrus sector. He plays a key role in guiding the citrus industry's response to evolving international sustainability regulations across export markets.

Prior to joining the CGA, Albert held an operational role at one of the country's major citrus and grape producers and exporters, overseeing financial management, infrastructure development, labour planning, and multi-site operational performance.

With a background spanning technical production, marketing, logistics, and agricultural economics, Albert brings a strategic, data-driven approach to industry challenges. He is recognised for his strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional leadership, and commitment to advancing sustainable, competitive growth in the South African fruit sector.
