The PPECB’s mobile technology project, TITAN®, went live on 1 October 2014. The project, which aims to eliminate all manual processes during inspections, allows for export certification to be performed electronically, transforming the speed and accuracy of the export certification process.

In implementing TITAN® the PPECB realised that the application is an essential industry strategic asset which requires ongoing development, maintenance and upgrades to keep pace with industry needs. To achieve the most suitable and cost effective route for the future, PPECB thus decided to take ownership of the development, maintenance and upgrades and took the strategic decision in November 2017 to bring the development and implementation of TITAN® in-house. TITAN 2.0® officially launched in 2019 and since then the PPECB’s development team has made considerable progress to provide a solution that meets the needs of our stakeholders.
