eCert

As of 1 October 2025, the PPECB has officially taken over the administration of the eCert platform.

eCert is an online system for phytosanitary certification designed to receive, verify, process, and deliver certification documentation to trading partners involved in agricultural exports. It plays a critical role in ensuring that our industry maintains efficiency, compliance, and trust in global trade.

The system is designed to bring efficiency to the certification process, eliminate fraudulent activities through certificate traceability, help eliminate lost documents, minimize human error on paperwork and reduce environment impact by lowering paper usage.

The PPECB believes bringing the platform under the stewardship of PPECB holds several key benefits, including:

  • Improved alignment: Having eCert under the management of PPECB strengthens integration with inspection, certification, and export processes.
  • Enhanced service delivery: Together the combination of the PPECB and eCert’s expertise and resources will ensure the platform continues to evolve and meet the needs of exporters and trading partners.
  • Sustainable governance: Centralising management with PPECB will support long-term stability, transparency, and efficiency for all users.
