Pamella Plessie, Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) at the PPECB, was presented with the IPM HR Emerging Practitioner of the Year Award at the annual Excellence Awards Gala dinner held in Gauteng on 21 November 2017.

The award recognises and rewards excellence in People Leadership and Pamella received it in recognition for the noteworthy impact she has made during her time at the PPECB as well as her ability and drive to succeed in her role.

As SDF, Pamella is responsible for facilitating the AETP programme, Annual Training Reports, Workplace Skills Plans and obtaining funds for the Graduate Internship and Learnership programmes at the PPECB. She was nominated by HR Executive, Pinki Luwaca, who motivated,

“Pamella started working at the PPECB in 2006. She joined the organisation as a temporary staff member and was made permanent in 2009 as an HR Administrator. She excelled in the admin function and showed particular interest in the learning and development area. She worked very closely with our SDF and showed a huge interest in this area. We sent her for training to acquire more knowledge and she grabbed the opportunity with both hands.”

Pamella, who strongly believes that where she started in the PPECB contributed to her success, sees the award as the result of a willingness to learn and eagerness to grow and develop in her role.

Congratulations Pamella on this outstanding achievement. The PPECB and its management are proud to have you as a member of the PPECB family.
